Emma's favorite spot to sleep, sometimes I worry about the smell, but it hasn't bothered her yet ;)

Emma's *Aunt* Sam made her this hat, it doesn't stay on too well yet, but it's super cute!

It's hard to believe that I would still have a week to go if I were pregnant :) Emma had a great weekend, she went to her first bachelorette party and had brunch with some friends. She really is a social butterfly. The house is coming along. It's actually finished and they are working on the *punch list*, we're really hoping to close at the beginning of June, but no word yet.

We survived our first week at home with her and I have to say that while it was a little crowded with the 3 of us being home in our one room house all week long, it was much easier when Jamie was here to help me. We had a fabulous first Mother's Day. Emma made me a beautiful photo book that chronicled her time in the NICU and we spend the day at my parents' house watching them fawn over their first grandchild (they are smitten!!).
yes, my parents looked like this all day long. they are ridiculously happy :)
family picture
Emma and Lisa Marie, my old Cabbage Patch Doll. That hat that LM is wearing fits Emma much better than her own hats.
Emma and her boyfriend Wills. He is 3 weeks younger than Emma, but he is what his parents call a "boss hog". I love that they struck matching poses :)

Any questions?
Just hanging out in her chair
Emma FINALLY got to meet her BFF Meena, as you can see they love each other already. Meena was supposed to be 12 weeks older than Emma, but now she's only 12 days. Bags o' Milk. Because who doesn't want to see that?
Daddy and Emma snoozing on the couch.
I can't believe I'm actually posting this photo, but Emma looks cute at least. Please remember this is very early in the morning.Posted by Ivory at 3:04 PM 4 comments

Emma's first breath of fresh air

in the car, ready to leave
at home in my new bed
snug as a bug in a rug
visiting our friend Miriam, Emma obviously is quite smitten with her. Emma's BFF Meena was sleeping so that meeting will have to wait until later

our *new* pad... we're only a little disorganized :) w

The day that Emma came home!!!
Three months after I was admitted to the hospital, we've closed the "Rose" chapter of this story and we've started a new one :) She's really, truly home with us now!
I'll try to get pictures up in the next couple days and let you all know how this is going, but I wanted to let you know that she is home and we're as happy as can be!

but we might have a coming home date.....
are you ready???
are you sure???
okay, here it goes...
SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
yep, that's right... 2 days from now. I'm scared to jinx us, but if everything goes okay with Emma tonight and tomorrow she will be home this weekend. Am I freaking out? You better believe it!!! I know that this is what we've been wanting for 7 weeks, but I can't believe it might finally be here!
Obviously she's doing really well! She's taking all her feedings from a bottle and she's breastfeeding once a day. She's up to 5lbs 3oz and still just as cute as can be :)
