I had my baby shower yesterday and it was so wonderful!!! Suzie, Katie, Laura, Steph and Miriam were my amazing hostess and we ended up having it here in the hospital and it couldn't have been better. It was so nice to be able to get dressed and do my hair and makeup and feel "normal" for a couple hours. It was so wonderful to see so many of my favorite women and everyone was so generous that Jamie and I are blown away. We started with some food; finger sandwiches, scones and clotted cream, artichoke dip, veggies and dip, and cookies. Then we played the "guess what chocolate is in the diaper game", which I had never played before and was really quite fun :) Then we opened presents and the guest played baby gift bingo and a game where they cut pictures out of magazines to create a baby they thought would look like babyjack... that was hilarious. There were SO many gifts, it was so overwhelming. Then we had cake... spring fling from The Market... YUM!! What a wonderful day and I can't thank my friends enough :)
so cute!

Glad you had a good time! You look great!
You were radiant! And I had so much fun. So glad I got to see you :) Jake and I miss you already!
Sister, for a gal confined to a little hospital room 24-7 you sure looked radiant this weekend. I know this wasn't how you envisioned your pregnancy and ensuing celebrations, but you are handling this whole situation with grace and aplomb. I'm really proud of you.
geeze, make me blush ;)
Ditto to everyone! You looked beautiful!

i'm so glad I got to share in the fun of the baby shower! i'm so impressed with how much patience you have and I guess this is good practice for the next 18-35 years!
Hi Ivory,
glad to hear everything worked out for you and big congrats on the new addition to the family. FYI - right now we have 6 pregnant women in our compound so the betting is on as to who is next...(rumour is that there's something in the water) Good luck with everything and be sure to get enough sleep.
